Taking place on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., this immersive workshop offers a hands-on opportunity to explore the vibrant tradition of Petrykivka painting, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Led by Olena Chorna, a professional artist and educator with over 20 years of experience, attendees will learn the history, symbolism, and techniques of this cherished Ukrainian folk art. The workshop begins with an introduction to Petrykivka painting, followed by a live demonstration of one-stroke techniques, where Olena will teach participants how to create floral and leaf patterns. After practicing on premium-quality paper, attendees will apply their skills to paint their own Easter egg ornament in the Petrykivka style.

All materials are included in the workshop, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. Participants will receive premium acrylic paints, handmade brushes, dotting tools, and a craft egg, along with practice materials to perfect their techniques. You’ll leave the workshop with your own beautifully painted Easter egg and a deeper appreciation for Ukrainian culture.
